Recap Of New York Fashion Week Spring 2016:

Recap of New York Fashion Week Spring 2016:

I did my research on this past New York Fashion Week and figured I would do a short recap of what was seen the most and what type of new styles we (teens) should look for this upcoming year. First of all I just want to say that I did NOT go to New York Fashion Week so I do have a few sources for my information, which I will link below. Anyways let's get started shall we!!

LACE:

The first thing I found was the popularity with lace, which was shocking to me. I really think a few designers will pick up on it an probably incorporate it into shirts or dresses or something within that range. I think a pink lace would look nice like this:

You could add the pink lace on the ruffles of the shirt or something like that. I just think we'll be seeing a lot of that this upcoming spring.

BOWS:

Something else that was continued to reoccur in fashion week were bows. Bows were most popular in the 90's but it's coming back! In my mind I think we'll probably see a lot more of this:

Red & Black:

Red and black were another color that stuck out to me in lot's of the pictures that I saw. Oscar Dela Renta especially exposed these colors during fashion week. I think it's a nice mixture for spring but I'm a little disappointed because it also reminds me of fall, and I'm sure a lot of designers are going to pick up on the colors. Anyways keep your eye out for this:
I think the lace will definitely be mixed into red shirts or skirts and maybe even the pockets of shorts?:
Or maybe even lace jean pockets with red and black lace? That's my general idea of what we are probably going to see in stores.

Animal Designs:

Animal prints and illusions really stuck out during fashion week from brands such as Coach and Marchesa. I'm not really sure how it's going to apply to teens but I know it's coming back so be aware. Not that animal prints are really out of date but designers are beginning to take it to another level by creating illusions within the design. I'm actually kind of nervous about this one but we shall see.

Okay, all the love...
XOXO
